Deputy Director of Legal Department appointed Director of Can Tho Customs Department

VCN- On January 20, in Can Tho, the General Department of Vietnam Customs (GDVC) announced a decision on the transfer and appointment of Vu Anh, the GDVC’s Deputy Director of Legal Department as the Director of Can Tho Customs Department.

GDVC’s Deputy Director General Nguyen Duong Thai awarded the decision and presented flowers to congratulate new Director of Can Tho Customs Department Vu Anh.

On January 19, the GDVC’s Director General signed Decision No. 168/QD-TCHQ on the transfer and appointment of Vu Anh, Deputy Director of the GDVC’s Legal Department to hold the position of Director of Can Tho Customs Department. On behalf of the GDVC’s leaders, Deputy Director General Nguyen Duong Thai awarded the decisions and assigned tasks to Vu Anh.

Deputy Director General Thai highly appreciated the contribution, qualification and experience of Vu Anh, especially in building the Law on Customs 2014. The Deputy Director General requested the new director to continue to inherit, promote traditions and achievements on working aspects, improve responsibility and solidarity together with the Party committee andleaders of Can Tho Customs Department to lead the department to effectively fulfill itsassigned tasks.

The Deputy Director General said the Customs sector has strongly implemented customs reform and modernization in recent years, and changed customs management methods. In the new period, the sector is moving towards a smart customs model, Vu Anh as well as Can Tho Customs Department’s leaders and officers need to improve their qualifications and management capacity, meeting the requirements forCustoms modernisation in the new period.

Deputy Director General Thai also noted that Vu Anh continued to promote collective intelligence, maintain internal solidarity and build relationships with branches and forces in the area to complete tasks.

The new Director of Can Tho Customs Department Vu Anh thanked the leaders of the Ministry of Finance, the GDVC, theParty Committee, People's Committee and Customs Department of Can Tho City as well as the GDVC’s subordinate units that have trusted and created conditions for him to receive his new tasks. He will continue to create solidarity with the department’s leaders to build a specific programme and direct the department to fulfill the tasks, especially, the tasks for 2021.
