New Director of Lang Son Customs Department appointed

VCN - On November 28, in Lang Son, the General Department of Vietnam Customs (GDVC) announced the decision to temporarily transfer and appoint Nguyen Van Hoan to the position of Director of Lang Son Customs Department.

The announcement ceremony was attended by Deputy Director General of the GDVC Luu Manh Tuong; Ho Tien Thieu, Chairman of Lang Son Provincial People's Committee; representatives of the Organizing Committee of Lang Son Provincial Party Committee, and representatives of the Party Committee, leaders of the Anti-smuggling and Investigation Department and all officers of Lang Son Customs Department.

On November 21, GDVC’s Director General Nguyen Van Tho signed Decision 2718/QD-TCHQ to temporarily transfer and appoint Nguyen Van Hoan, Deputy Director of the Anti-smuggling and Investigation Department to hold the position of Director of Lang Son Customs Department from December 1, 2024.

Speaking at the announcement ceremony, Deputy Director General Luu Manh Tuong congratulated the new Director Nguyen Van Hoan and Lang Son Customs Department.

Deputy Director General Luu Manh Tuong said that the new Director of Lang Son Customs Department has gained experience for many years of working at Quang Ninh Customs Department and the Anti-smuggling and Investigation Department. He has held leadership positions in customs control units under Quang Ninh Customs Department and directly led the customs control work of the Anti-smuggling and Investigation Department. This is a favorable condition for Director Nguyen Van Hoan to continue to perform well the assigned tasks in the customs field in Lang Son province.

Deputy Director General Luu Manh Tuong emphasized that Lang Son Customs Department is one of the major customs departments of the Customs sector and is also a specialized department managing and processing procedures for imports, exports and exit and entry means of transport across land, rail and waterway border gates. Therefore, the newly-appointed director, Nguyen Van Hoan, will continue to make outstanding contributions, improve work capacity, and make all efforts to complete assigned tasks.

Deputy Director General Luu Manh Tuong requested Lang Son Customs Department to urgently hold a meeting to assign tasks within the Department's leadership and coordinate with Director Nguyen Van Hoan to keep up with the new position.

At the ceremony, Chairman Ho Tien Thieu also believed that the new Director Nguyen Van Hoan would always improves his management capacity, professional knowledge, and actively coordinate with local departments, branches, sectors, and relevant forces to advise, direct and perform to contribute to the development of the province as well as the Customs sector and Lang Son Customs Department.

The new Director Nguyen Van Hoan expressed his determination to continue to make efforts and coordinate with the leadership of Lang Son Customs Department to complete tasks well.
