Mr. Nguyen Hoang Tuan appointed as Director of HCM City Customs Department

VCN – On March 28, at the headquarters of HCM City Customs Department, the General Department of Vietnam Customs held a conference to announce the Decision on appointment of Nguyen Hoang Tuan-Director of Personnel and Organization Department as Director of HCM City Customs Department. At the conference, Deputy Director of Personnel and Organization Department under the General Department of Vietnam Customs Pham Thi Thu Huong announced Decision No. 836/QD-TCHQ dated March 27, 2024 of the Director General of Vietnam Customs appointing Director of Personnel and Organization Department Nguyen Hoang Tuan as Director of HCM City Customs Department from April 2, 2024.

Director General Nguyen Van Can awarded the appointment decision to Director of HCM City Customs Department Nguyen Hoang Tuan.

Director General Nguyen Van Can congratulated new Director Nguyen Hoang Tuan and the department and wished that in the new position, Tuan would soon work and coordinate with key leaders of HCM City Customs Department to stabilize the operation, ensuring investment attraction and import-export activities in the City; inherit the department’s tradition, promote advantages and overcome disadvantages.

Director General Nguyen Van Can hoped that the department’s leaders and key officers would support Director Nguyen Hoang Tuan to promote tradition, solidarity and unity for the common tasks to build a transparent and dynamic HCM City Customs Department, and as a heroic and major department of the Customs industry.

Following the direction of the General Department of Vietnam Customs, Director Nguyen Hoang Tuan thanked the Party Committee of the Ministry of Finance, leaders of the General Department of Vietnam Customs, and the HCM City Party Committee - People's Committee for trusting and appointing him as the director.

The new Director said that this is an honor and also a new responsibility and task for himself when holding the position of leader of HCM City Customs Department, which is a large department with the human resource accounting for 20% of the total human resource of the whole Customs industry, and has a huge workload and diverse and complex nature of work.

The new Director promised to quickly grasp the work, always uphold the responsibility, make great efforts together with the department’s leaders and officers to accomplish the tasks; follow and concretize the contents of HCM City's economic development program to develop the department’s work, contributing to the City's economic development in the near future.

He also promised to promote knowledge and experience in building a team of professional, transparent and dynamic civil servants; implement well the assigned programs and work plans at all levels. He would collaborate with the leadership, the Party Committee and the civil servants of HCM City Customs Department to uphold the spirit of inquiry, promote internal democracy and collective intelligence and solidarity, and build a stability and development department.
