Danang Customs Department merges Customs Branch

VCN - Director of Da Nang Customs Department, Quach Dang Hoa said that the unit is preparing to implement the decisions of the Ministry of Finance and the General Department of Vietnam Customs on the consolidation of Danang Industrial Park Customs Branch into the Investment and Processing Customs Branch.

Previously, the Ministry of Finance issued Decision 1856/QD-BTC on reorganizing the Customs Branch under the Da Nang Customs Department, merging Danang Industrial Park Customs Branch into the Investment and Processing Customs Branch under Danang Customs Department. The time for completion is before December 1, 2019.

After that, the General Department of Vietnam Customs issued Document 6287/TCHQ-TCHQ on October 2, directing the Danang Customs Department to implement the implementation plan, report to the Party Committee and the People's Committee of Da Nang City and notify the concerned organizations, business community and individuals; disseminating to all officials and employees about Decision No. 1856/QD-BTC of the Ministry of Finance dated September 19, 2019, to unify the awareness and implementation process.

Arranging customs officials and employees of Da Nang Industrial Park Customs Branch in accordance with regulations and directions of the General Department of Vietnam Customs on deploying and arranging customs officials complying with the requirement on streamlining the organizational structure.

Furthermore, handing over the office, facilities, techniques, dossiers, documents which were remaining and other tasks of Da Nang industrial park Customs Branch to the Investment and Processing Customs Branch.

Besides that, the General Department of Vietnam Customs also instructed Da Nang Customs Department to base on the criteria of establishing and reorganizing teams of the Customs Branch in Decision 2094/QD-BTC dated October 17, 2017 of The Ministry of Finance. In case of meeting the criteria, Da Nang Customs Department should develop a project of establishing and reorganizing teams of the Investment and Processing Customs Branch to report to the General Department for consideration and decisions.

Especially, in the process of performing the consolidation of the Customs Branch, the General Department of Vietnam Customs required the units to comply with the regulations, ensuring no disturbance and affecting the performance of assigned political tasks.

Mr. Hoa said that implementing the guidelines of the Ministry of Finance, the General Department of Vietnam Customs, the unit quickly organized meetings to plan the specific implementation in accordance with the local situation.

“Currently, the reorganization of customs branch was being carried out in accordance with the unit's direction and plan. It was expected that on November 1, Da Nang Customs Department would hold a meeting to inform enterprises about the termination of operation of Da Nang Industrial Park Customs Branch. After that, the unit would spend a month to carry out the procedures for handing over the headquarters, facilities, techniques, dossiers, documents, remaining works and other tasks of the Da Nang Industrial Park Customs Branch to the Investment and Processing Customs Branch,” Mr. Hoa said.
