Provide solutions to support customs clearance
Da Nang Customs has offered solutions to prevent the Covid-19 pandemic while performing quick customs clearance.
The department has reformed administrative procedures, creating favourable conditions for organisations, individuals and the business community in Da Nang, and shortening customs clearance time.
In addition, the department has taken measures to support businesses in customs declaration such as receiving and processing dossiers via online public services and assisted firms to implement new procedures via the system.
It has also deployed e-consultations such as instructing additional declaration on the system, answered and supported firms via Zalo and email, minimizing face-to-face communication between the Customs officials and enterprises, and resolved problems for businesses.
Goods inspection and supervision has been performed quickly while ensuring safety control, contributing to the smooth circulation of goods and effective protection of the enterprises’ interests.
Da Nang Customs Department has achieved 91.44 points and ranked second in the Public Administration Reform Index 2020, and received a Certificate of Merit from the Chairman of the City People's Committee.
This impressive achievement is the result of administrative reforms to support the business community amid the pandemic in 2020 and 2021.
To reduce pressure on businesses in this difficult period in terms of production and business, Da Nang Customs Department has suspended inspections and the law compliance assessments of customs declarants.
Ensure safety in customs performance
After the holidays of April 30 and May 1, Da Nang Customs Department took emergency measures to prevent the Covid-19 pandemic while ensuring the safety of customs officials and the business community, and the circulation of goods.
Currently, facing the unpredictable development of public health crisis, the department has requested its subordinate units to strictly follow directions of the Government, Prime Minister, the National Steering Committee for Covid-19 prevention and control, the Ministry of Health, the General Department of Customs.
Implement measures to prevent and control the pandemic at the headquarters of the department and branches. Comply with the health ministry's 5K message. Heads of units are requested to ask all officials and people who come to work at units to make medical declarations.
Carry out customs clearance and effectively fight the pandemic and ensure imports and exports according to instructions in Official Dispatch No. 2956 dated June 16, 2021 of the General Department of Vietnam Customs.
Report daily or immediately cases of customs officials who have gone to areas affected by Covid-19 and are epidemiologically linked to Covid-19 cases notified by the city Steering Committee for pandemic prevention.
Da Nang Customs Department’s great efforts have been appreciated by firms. For example, the branch of Times Cargo Logistic Company Limited has given its thanks to Da Nang Seaport Customs Branch for support the company amid the complex development of the Covid-19 pandemic.
