The sector needs to improve institutions to enhance efficiency and service quality; arrange the apparatus organization; modernize facilities; and build human resources.

In the near future, Vietnam should continue to promote its proactive, positive, and responsible role in promoting international cooperation on customs in a comprehensive, extensive, and effective manner; develop bilateral and multilateral relationships with other customs administrations, implement cooperation agreements, programs, and commitments with international partners; expedite internalization of international commitments consistent with the domestic legal system.

In this process, along with maximizing the development of internal resources, Vietnam hopes to continue to receive close cooperation and effective support from the WCO and Customs administrations of other countries through various forms such as sharing information and experience, supporting digital transformation, modernizing facilities and equipment, optimizing procedures, training and developing human resources to achieve the In this process, along with maximizing the development of internal resources, Vietnam hopes to continue to receive close cooperation and effective support from the WCO and Customs agencies of other countries through various forms of support. Practical activities such as sharing information and experience, supporting digital transformation, modernizing facilities and equipment, optimizing procedures, training, and developing human resources to attain the goal of successfully building and implementing Digital Customs, Smart Customs, and Green Customs, contributing to the WCO growth.
