Customs has collected and handled more than 3,3 million dossiers of request for administrative procedure settlement
According to the assessment of the General Department of Vietnam Customs, right from the beginning of the year, the Customs sector has issued many documents directing and managing administrative reform (PAR). In particular, it focused on thoroughly grasping the viewpoints of the Government, the Ministry of Finance as the guideline for action, synchronously and comprehensively deploying administrative reform, controlling administrative procedures, and setting goals to reduce and simplify unnecessary, unreasonable and illegal administrative procedures which was a barrier and cause difficulties for business activities of enterprises and people; promote decentralization to reduce the hierarchy and intermediary stages; simplify the process, shorten the time for handling administrative procedures of state administrative agencies; modernize the method of direction and administration.

In particular, to serve the assessment and scoring of the PAR INDEX in 2022 of the Ministry of Finance, the General Department of Vietnam Customs has provided verification documents and made a list of officers participating in the sociological survey to accurately and objectively reflect the results of the PAR of the Ministry of Finance, furthermore, continuing to score and determine the PAR Index in 2022 for units under the General Department of Vietnam Customs, implementing the set of indicators serving people and businesses following Decision No. 766/QD-TTg dated June 23, 2022, of the Prime Minister and Decision No. 1507/QD-BTC dated July 29, 2022, of the Ministry of Finance.
Also, at the beginning of the year, the Customs Authority issued many plans for reviewing administrative procedures. Currently, the General Department of Vietnam Customs is making a list and making statistics of detailed contents of internal administrative procedures between Customs and other agencies outside the Ministry of Finance as specified in the customs legal documents.
Reviewing all legal documents assigned to the chair to draft and submit to competent authorities for promulgation and taking effect from April 2022 until now to propose amendments and supplements. It aims to transform the process and methods of implementing administrative procedures and public services from direct to the electronic environment under the Project "Developing the application of population data, electronic identification and authentication, serving the national digital transformation in 2022 - 2025, vision to 2030".
Through the review, the results showed that 2 out of 5 documents have content related to personal identification and electronic authentication. However, the documents are the result of the review of the implementation of Project 06 in 2022 and are consistent with the VNEID application roadmap, so the General Department of Vietnam Customs did not propose to amend and supplement these documents.
In addition, the General Department of Vietnam Customs is also directing professional units to study and propose to reduce and simplify regulations related to customs business activities as required through the formulation of legislation.
