Continue to assess capacity of customs officials in some provincial Customs Department in December

After that, in January 2019, customs units including Hanoi, Hai Phong and Ho Chi Minh City will organize the assessment of customs officials’ capabilities.
The General Department of Vietnam Customs, in January 2019, will evaluate the capacity of customs officials who are not holding leading positions and are working in 6 main professional areas of the General Department include control and supervision, import and export duty, anti-smuggling, post-clearance audit, risk management, handling of violations.
In the conclusion of the recent direction, Deputy Director General of Vietnam Customs Hoang Viet Cuong assigned Personnel and Organization Department to develop guidance documents to instruct units to use assessment results in implementing the training program plan in 2019, using in the assessment and classification results of the task performance of customs officials; Arrange, allocate and transfer customs officials.
Earlier, in the two days of 24/11 – 25/11, 214 customs officials worked in 6 main professional areas: control and supervision, import-export duty, anti-smuggling, post-clearance audit, risk management, handling of violation of Quang Ninh Customs Department have participated in the test of customs officials’ capacity assessment.
Through reviewing activities from the preparation of the test, software, facilities and revision for the exam to the performance of examinations, the results of the examination, the leaders of the General Department assessed the test of capacity assessment at the Quang Ninh Customs Department that basically meet the requirements and plans.
