Cao Bang resumes immigration across Soc Giang Border Gate

On November 29, Manager of Soc Giang Customs Branch (Cao Bang Customs Department) Dinh Ich Cuong said that the immigration across Soc Giang-Binh Mang Border Gate pair has been restored after three years of suspension due to the Covid-19 pandemic.

The restoration of immigration is implemented under contents signed in the MoU between Ha Quang district (Cao Bang, Vietnam) and Na Po district (Guangxi, China) on October 12.

The working hours start from 7:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. daily. On November 28, about 150 people carried out immigration procedures across the border gate pair.

The restoration creates favorable conditions for citizens of the two countries to carry out procedures across the border to visit relatives and trade.

To ensure smooth operation at the border gate, Soc Giang Border Gate Customs Branch and relevant agencies have promptly prepared the necessary conditions and arranged human resources to process procedures for passengers.

Regarding import and export activities, Manager Dinh Ich Cuong said that from the beginning of the year to November 29, the Branch has completed procedures for 56 export declarations, with a turnover of nearly US$10 million. The exported product mainly is cashew nuts.

Regarding imports, there are 34 import declaration with the turnover of more than US$1.1 million. The main imported products are raw materials for yeast production and groceries.

As of November 29, the branch collected over VND2.3 billion.
