In the first 15 days of 2025, total import-export turnover reached more than US$34 billion

According to the latest statistics just announced by the General Department of Customs, in the first half of January (January 1-15, 2025), the total export turnover reached US$16.25 billion.
Notably, there are five groups reaching billions of dollars, including: computers, electronic products and components; phones and components; machinery, equipment, tools, spare parts; textiles; footwear.
Prominent export groups of the agricultural sector with a turnover of hundreds of millions of dollar include: seafood, coffee, vegetables and fruits...
Meanwhile, imports in the first half of January earned US$17.98 billion. The two billion-dollar imported groups are computers, electronic products and components; machinery, equipment, tools, spare parts.
Thus, in the first 15 days of January, our country saw a trade deficit of US$1.73 billion.
In 2024, the country recorded a trade turnover of US$786.29 billion, the highest ever and up by 15.4% (or US$105.22 billion) compared to the previous year.
Of which, exports gained US$405.53 billion, an increase of 14.3% (or US$50.81 billion) and imports gained US$380.76 billion, an increase of 16.7% (or US$54.41 billion).
