Cao Bang Customs coordinates to seize 25 bricks of heroin

On October 26, talking to a reporter from Customs News, representatives of Cao Bang Customs Department said implementing project PP120, at 9:15 on October 24, at km276 + 300 Highway 3 in Nam Phong 3 hamlet, Hung Dao commune (Cao Bang city), competent units under the Cao Bang Customs Department worked with competent units of the Cao Bang Provincial Police to arrest Nguyen Van Thuy (born in 2000 and residing in Phan Me commune, Phu Luong district, Thai Nguyen province) and his accomplices due to involvement in illegal transportation and sale of narcotics.

The evidence seized include 25 bricks of heroin with a total weight of 8,692.67 grams, two cars and many related papers and documents. The competent forces continued to investigate and expand the case.

The representative of Cao Bang Customs Department revealed that this was the largest case of drug seizure with the largest number of pieces of evidence of violation since the beginning of 2020 successfully handled by the unit.

On October 25, Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the People's Committee of Cao Bang province Hoang Xuan Anh praised and rewarded the competent forces participating in the case.
