Business dialogue in 2020 will take place at end of November
It is expected that by the end of November, the Ministry of Finance will coordinate with the Vietnam Chamber of Commerce and Industry (VCCI) to hold a dialogue between the Ministry of Finance and Vietnamese enterprises administrative procedures and policies of tax and customs in 2020.
The conference will be held at two locations, Hanoi and HCM City. In in Hanoi, the conference will take place on the morning of November 24 at ICC International Conference Centre (11 Le Hong Phong, Ba Dinh District). In HCM City, the conference will take place on the morning of November 27 at the Sheraton Hotel (88 Dong Khoi, District 1).

The conference will focus on two main contents, namely general information on changes in policies and new administrative procedures in tax and customs and dialogue, solving difficulties and problems for businesses in implementation of tax policies, customs and suggestions for building legal documents from businesses.
According to the Ministry of Finance, in recent years, the management authority has reformed administrative procedures to achieve the following objectives: continue to reform more comprehensively in management methods and appropriate import and export tax policies consistent with the process of economic integration towards stability, openness and transparency, creating a healthy economic environment; complying with international agreements and free trade agreements, Law on Customs, Law on Export Tax, Import Tax and other laws.
At the same time, in the 2020 situation, the Covid-19 pandemic has impacted on the global economy and the Vietnamese economy. Therefore, the management authority wants to continue to improve the legal basis to implement the National Single Window to cut customs clearance time and save costs for businesses, in line with the development of international trade; continue to reform customs procedures towards openness, transparency, facilitate import-export enterprises.
Accordingly, to organise conferences with the highest efficiency, in the field of customs, the General Department of Vietnam Customs requested provincial customs departments organise a dialogue with enterprises engaging in import and export activities in the area. From then on, to grasp arising problems of enterprises under the management authority which have been resolved and have not been resolved.
At the same time, units need to review and re-examine problems arising in their units, propose solutions before, during and after the conference.
To help the Customs authority to study and prepare the most detailed and specific answers to related problems, the General Department of Vietnam Customs also requested the business community send their problems in the process of implementing customs procedures at customs units to the customs branches or departments where customs procedures are carried out or send problems to the General Department of Vietnam Customs.
