On June 22, talking to a reporter, Deputy Director of Song Than Industrial Park Customs Branch Nguyen Thanh Thien said following the direction of the leaders of Binh Duong Customs Department, the unit has thoroughly explained to customs officials about 5K implementation: keep a safe distance, always wear a mask, regularly disinfect, do not gather many people and make a full medical declaration. At the same time, hold meetings and exchange professional measures in small groups; some divisions such as the bonded warehouse department, cargo inspection, etc. exchange and solve work via the network or by phone to limit direct contact.

Businesses that come to implement procedures will be instructed to measure body temperature, disinfect and make health declaration online or manually. The Customs branch has also strengthened the Business Support Team and the Covid-19 Handling Team to ensure safety against the pandemic and support businesses' problems to avoid bottlenecks in the clearance of import and export goods.

Similarly, at Thu Dau Mot Customs Branch, manager Le Minh Quoc Thinh said although the pandemic situation in the area was extremely complex, import and export activities at the unit were still stable compared to 2-3 weeks ago. Each day, the branch receives and processes from 1,100-1,200 declarations of enterprises, mainly through the automatic customs system.
The number of firms coming to carry out procedures directly at the branch has decreased significantly compared to before. However, the branch still complies with regulations on the prevention of the Covid-19 pandemic. At the procedure area, Thu Dau Mot Customs Branch has arranged a separate reception desk for documents. When firms come to carry out procedures, they must make medical declarations, measure body temperature and disinfect.

Binh Duong Customs Department said to ensure the prevention and control of the pandemic, the department has fully equipped with equipment such as masks, antiseptic water, anti-droplet glasses, body temperature measuring devices and automatic hand sanitiser for subordinate units.
To ensure the implementation of the dual goal of fighting the pandemic and ensuring cargo clearance, Binh Duong Customs Department has also directed the Customs branch to develop additional plans in case the office is blockade (self-cooking, living, staying overnight at the unit, coordinating with the Control and Supervision Division for guidance in case of asking another unit to check the goods on behalf).
In particular, they must pay attention to monitoring the operation of firms, promptly grasping and solving difficulties and problems, creating favourable conditions for import and export activities of enterprises in the area, helping businesses ensure stable production and business in the current complicated pandemic situation.
In addition, the Customs branch also needs to regularly monitor the media to capture information on positive cases of Covid-19 in the area and promptly report to the Department's Steering Committee for Pandemic Prevention and Control to receive guidance.
