Binh Duong Customs achieves nearly 91% of revenue collection

To achieve the above results, Binh Duong Customs Department said that during the year, the unit has drastically and comprehensively implemented collection and payment solutions. In particular, the Department has strengthened the implementation of measures to urge, recover and handle tax debts managed by the units in order to ensure that the debts as of December 31, 2019 would be lower than the debts recording at the time of December 31, 2018, contributing to successfully completing the target of revenue collection in 2019.
In the work of administrative reform and customs modernization, Binh Duong Customs has maintained the electronic customs clearance system at nine locations of implementing customs procedures at eight customs branches; promoted the application of information technology in professional work and management stages; effectively applied the VNACCS/VCIS system in combination with satellite programs of connecting to the VNACCS/VCIS system in order to support the professional activities in a modern and focused manner.
Besides that, the unit has continued to effectively implementing the electronic tax collection scheme through banks for collecting and clearance 24/7. Up to now, there are 40 joint stock commercial banks coordinated for collection. Of that 26 banks have implemented electronic tax payment and customs clearance 24/7. The coordination between the three units Customs - Treasury - Bank in Binh Duong has witnessed many advantages. The amount of taxes collected via banks currently accounts for over 97.26 percent of the total state revenue collection.
In addition, in the first ten months of 2019, Binh Duong Customs Department also performed well the work of patrol and control of the area, ensuring that the activities of smuggling and trade fraud would not occur.
As a result, in ten months, the unit has detected 1,568 cases of violations, an increase of 740 cases over the same period last year. The total amount of monetary penalty for administrative violations and tax arrears was over VND 113 billion, preventing revenue loss for the state budget of over VND 138 billion.
