The overall architecture towards Digital Customs is aimed to improve the effectiveness and efficiency of customs operation and service quality; towards Digital Customs based on big data and open data to set setting people and businesses at the centre; creating a foundation for Customs authority to approach, take an active role, create and take lead in the transformation to modern digital customs in Vietnam.
The development orientation of overall architecture towards Digital Customs is building and perfecting the foundation of information technology infrastructure and database for the development of an e-Government; building an information technology infrastructure platform, a database to deploy information technology services and applications to develop e-Government under the model of centralised management, converging resources, and using virtualisation solutions, cloud computing, big data.
At the same time, focusing on standardising customs professional processes; building, developing and completing applications and services to serve State management of customs; inheriting applications and services compatible with the Overall Architecture towards Digital Customs, the Overall Architecture towards the Digital Ministry of Finance; if the service applications are not suitable or compatible, it should be corrected and upgraded; perfecting the electronic environment of Customs, providing the ability to analyse, process and synthesise information to ensure the management, administration, and professional qualifications to serve people and businesses.
