Already connected 70 procedures to National Online Public Service Portal, Customs accomplish mission soon

At a meeting to evaluate the results of the work in July, deploying tasks in August of the General Department of Vietnam Customs on August 4, Deputy Director General Nguyen Duong Thai said the General Department of Vietnam Customs has just connected 60 online public services on the National Online Public Service portal, bringing the total number of connected online public services of the sector to 70.
Deputy Director of Custom IT and Statistics Department Le Duc Thanh (General Department of Vietnam Customs) said that 60 online public services had been connected on July 31.
“Thus, compared to the plan, Customs sector accomplished the mission more than four months early and exceeding 10 services (the plan expected to complete in December 2020, with 60 online public services). However, to officially announce the result, it must wait for examination and review from the Government Office,” Thanh said.
Regarding the implementation of online public services in general, up to now, the whole Customs sector has provided 198/219 online public services at level 3 and 4 (90.4%, including 70 online public services connected to the National Online Public Service Portal). A total 192 procedures in the customs field have been provided with online public services at level 4 (reaching 87.6%).
Besides implementing online public service, the General Department of Vietnam Customs has continued to promote the application of IT to serve people and businesses such as deploying a new version of the General Department of Vietnam Customs Portal at tongcuc.customs.gov.vn. The management, supervision and operation of the VNACCS/VCIS system and centralised IT systems of the Customs sector are stable 24/7, ensuring security, safety and a smooth connection to serve the cargo clearance of import and export goods.
Regarding electronic payments, up to now, the number of banks working with the General Department of Vietnam Customs is 43, with30 banks participating in electronic tax payment and customs clearance 24/7 and the amount of revenue collected via online method accounts for more than 97% of the total revenue of the sector.
