Accelerating customs clearance during Lunar New Year 2022

The General Department of Customs has required units to arrange a sufficient number of officers in relevant divisions to work days, holidays, and public holidays and outside office hours to carry out customs procedures, customs inspection, supervision and tax procedures for import and export goods for enterprises to ensure timely and legal customs clearance operations.
These customs officers shall receive, examine documents, and inspect goods within the time limit specified in Points a and b, Clause 2, Article 23 of the Law on Customs. The Director of the Customs branch is responsible to the Director of the Customs Department and Director General of the General Department of Customs about the delay.
The units will immediately solve problems arising in the customs process to avoid congestion at border gates.
Local Customs Departments shall guide their units to develop plans with available information technology solutions; prepare infrastructure and equipment for pandemic prevention and control; arrange and ensure the safety of customs officers amid the pandemic to ensure customs clearance of goods and supply chains and providing maximum support for businesses, while ensuring customs management in accordance with the instructions of Government and the Ministry of Finance.
The customs units shall closely coordinate and regularly exchange information with relevant authorities to quickly settle customs procedures for businesses.
The guidance of the General Department of Customs is to implement Directive 02/CT-BTC dated November 25, 2021 of the Ministry of Finance on strengthening the price management, operation and stabilization during the Lunar New Year 2022.
