700 declarations in yellow channel and red channel generating each date at four customs branches in Hai Phong

According to Hai Phong Customs Department, in August, the department processed 154,155 declarations.

Import declarations were 85,144 papers and 69,011 papers of export declaration, up 0.24% over the same period in 2019 but down 2.76% compared to July this year.

The unit with the largest number of declarations was the Export Processing Zone and Industrial Zone and Industrial Park Customs Branch with 35,758 declarations, the Hai Phong port area 2 Customs Branch had the fewest with 3,216 declarations.

In customs branches at the seaport, the Hai Phong port area 3 Customs Branch had the largest number of declarations with 11,787 papers.

In customs branches excluded border gate, Thai Binh Customs Branch has the fewest declarations with 8,057 papers.

In August, at Hai Phong Customs Department, 52% had 47% of declarations belonging to the Yellow and Red channels (the Yellow was 43.5% and Red channel was 3.5%).

Notably, the declaration of the Yellow channel and Red channel is gathered in four border gate customs branches (Hai Phong port area 1 Customs Branch, Hai Phong port area 2 Customs Branch, Hai Phong port area 3 Customs Branch, Dinh Vu port Customs Branch).

In August, the rate of declaration of Yellow and Red channels in the four units reached nearly 83% (Yellow channel was 71.4%; red channel was 11.3% and Green channel was 17.3%).

The number of declarations of Red and Yellow channels at four border gate customs units of Hai Phong Customs in August was 22,221, an average of 717 declarations per day.

The number of declarations of the Red and Yellow channels accounted for a large proportion, of that many declarations were subject to specialised management and inspection by ministries and sectors, causing difficulties in cutting the clearance time at four customs branches in Hai Phong.
