3.2 million dossiers implemented via National Single Window

According to the General Department of Vietnam Customs, from 2014 to July 15, 2020, 198 administrative procedures of 13 ministries and sectors have been officially connected to the NSW,with approximately 3.2 million dossiers of more than 39,900 businesses.

From the beginning of 2020 to the middle of July, ministries and sectors connected 10 new procedures, the number of businesses increased by nearly 5,000 businesses and 500,000 dossiers (atthe end of 2019, the whole country had 188 administrative procedures of 13 ministries and sectors connected with more than 2.7 million dossiers of over 35,000 businesses).

For the implementation of ASEAN Single Window (ASW), Vietnam has officially connected to the ASW to exchange information on e-C/O form D with nine ASEAN member states, including Singapore, Malaysia, Indonesia, Thailand, Brunei, Cambodia, Myanmar, Laos, and Philippines.

The total number of C/O sent by Vietnam is 238,072 and received by Vietnam is 159,170.

From the beginning of 2020, Vietnam has completed connection to the ASW with five countries, including Brunei, Cambodia, Myanmar, Laos and the Philippines.

In addition to the connection of 10 new procedures and operations of the NSW, the General Department of Vietnam Customs is perfecting the application for development of the Government decree on connection and sharing information among Government agencies with concerned parties via the NSW in the field of import, export and transit of goods as required in Decision No. 1254/QD-TTg.

At the same time, it coordinated with the United States Agency for International Development (USAID) to develop a master plan on building and developing an information technology system for implementation of NSW and ASW in the direction of centralized processing.

To achieve the goal of connection with non-ASEAN partners, the General Department of Vietnam Customs is implementing pilot exchange for export customs declaration forms; negotiating to exchange C/O with the Eurasian Economic Union (EAEU); exchanging e-C/O with South Korea; and electronic quarantine certificate with New Zealand.
