21,500 packs of foreign cigarettes illegally transported by air

Earlier, on February 18, 2022, at the warehouse of ALS Cargo Terminal Joint Stock Company, the Customs Enforcement Team - Noi Bai International Airport Customs Branch implemented the decision to inspect the shipment transferred on a flight of Korea Air Airlines from Korea to Noi Bai – Vietnam on December 31, 2021.
Noi Bai International Airport Border Gate Customs Branch coordinated with Unit 1- Anti-Smuggling and Investigation Department – General Department of Vietnam Customs; Customs Enforcement Team – Hanoi Customs Department; Environmental Police Department (PC05) – Hanoi City Police to conduct a physical inspection.
As a result, the infringing goods were cigarettes, with a quantity of 34 cartons of ESSE cigarettes (1 carton was 50 units, 1 unit was 10 packs) and nine cartons of RAISON Sun Presso cigarettes (1 carton was 50 units, 1 unit was 10 packs). The total number of 21,500 packs of cigarettes.
The initial results showed that the above cigarettes were illegally transported and listed in the List of goods imported with conditions.
Currently, the competent force has sealed all the goods and continued to handle them in accordance with the law.
