20 of 35 provincial and municipal customs departments ranked first on PAR Index

VCN – The General Department of Viet Nam Customs has issued a Decision to announce the Public Administration Reform Index (PAR Index) in 2022 of its departments and local customs departments. Accordingly, 20 of 35 local customs departments are ranked first; 2 of 8 departments and 2 of 5 boards under the General Department of Vietnam Customs are ranked first.

Accordingly, 20 local customs departments are ranked first, including Bac Ninh, Binh Duong, Binh Dinh, Can Tho, Da Nang, Dak Lak, Dong Nai, Dong Thap, Gia Lai-Kon Tum, Ha Nam Ninh, Ha Tinh, Hai Phong, HCM City, Khanh Hoa, Lang Son, Lao Cai, Long An, Quang Binh, Quang Ngai and Thanh Hoa.

5 of 35 local customs departments are ranked 2nd including Cao Bang, Ha Giang, Nghe An, Quang Tri, and Tay Ninh. 7 of 35 local customs departments are ranked 3rd including Binh Phuoc, Dien Bien, Hanoi, Kien Giang, Quang Nam, Quang Ninh, and Thua Thien Hue. Ba Ria - Vung Tau Customs Department is ranked 4th; An Giang and Ca Mau Customs Departments are ranked 5th.

According to the General Department of Vietnam Customs, rank first has a score of 89 or higher; rank second has a score from 88.5 to less than 89; rank 3rd has score from 88 to less than 88.5; rank 4th has a score of 87.5 to less than 88 and rank 5th has score under 87.5.

According to the PAR Index, the two central departments are ranked first, including the Risk Management Department and the Finance and Logistics Department. Four departments are ranked 2nd, including the Customs IT and Statistics Department, the Customs Department of Goods Verification, the Post Clearance Audit Customs Department, and the Import and Export Duty Department. The Anti-Smuggling and Investigation Department is ranked 3rd and the Customs Control and Supervision Department is ranked 4th.

The Customs Reform and Modernization Board and the Legal Department are ranked first. The Personnel and Organization Department and the Inspectorate Department are ranked second. The International Cooperation Department is ranked 3rd.
