Warning the sign of violating regulations on importing goods with conditions

Specifically, through the inspection and processing information across the whole sector, the General Department of Vietnam Customs recognized there was a sign of violation of import enterprise with the declared item as nutrition products, dietary supplement used for children under 36 months of age.

When importing those items, it required to have “Receipt of registration of product declaration" by the competent authorities as prescribed in Articles 6 and 8 or the result of state inspection on imported foods safety as specified in Articles 16, 17, 18 and 19 of Decree No. 15/2018/ND-CP of the Government. However, in the course of carrying out the procedures, the enterprise only presents and submits to the customs authorities "the product self-declaration" for implementing procedures for importing goods.

The General Department of Vietnam Customs requested the provincial Customs Departments to intensify the inspection and checking of imported goods declared as nutritional products, dietary supplements for children under 36 months of age in order to handle them in accordance with regulations.
