VCN- Hanoi Customs Department proactively and promptly established a special case with secret number HC 421, hosted and coordinated with Drug Crime Investigation Police Department - Ministry of Public Security; Northern Region Anti-Smuggling Control Team (Team 5), Southern Region Anti-Smuggling Control Team (Team 6) - Anti-Smuggling Investigation Department - General Department of Vietnam Customs.

In the process of investigating and solving the case, from April 9, 2021, to April 27, 2021, the competent forces concentrated on seizing a very large volume of synthetic drugs (MDMA) and Ketamine (about 127,5 kg); arrested and detained 16 subjects, dismantled 08 drug transport lines (Hanoi 1 case on April 9, 2021; Hai Duong 1 case on April 10, 2021; Binh Duong 2 cases on April 13, 2021; Ho Chi Minh City 4 cases on April 13-14, 2021).
