Two entry passengers carrying more than 220kgs of fireworks from Laos to Vietnam

According to the information of Division 7 ,C74 (Ministry of Public Security), on 24-12-2016, at 17:30, in the interdisciplinary Station of Cha Lo international border gate, Customs Branch of Cha Lo border gate, Quang Binh Customs Department in coordination with Cha Lo border guard Department checked a vehicle with Laos car number plate 5300 controlled by Pham Ngoc Nguyen, born in 1984, Do Thanh commune, Yen Thanh district, Nghe An entering Vietnam.

At the time of inspection, the two forces of Customs and Border discovered 128kg of fireworks including: 114 square boxes of fireworks, 37 packs of fireworks balls, 30 cylindrical fireworks hidden inside a self-made cargo hold, opened by hydraulic lifting jack.

At the same time, the forces of Customs and Border Protection continues to inspect a car with Laos number plate 1728 controlled by Le Van Phu, born in 1987, DienThap, DienChau district, Nghe An province, discovering 93kg of fireworks including 89 squares boxes of fireworks, 22 packages of fireworks balls hidden in a self-made cargo hold opened by hydraulic lifting jack.

Through verification, these fireworks belonged to Ho Hai Hung (born in 1984) and Ho Hai Ha (born in 1975), both residing at Do Thanh commune, Yen Thanh District, Nghe An Province, who were in the cars. The forces drew up a report on the red-handed seizure and handed these 2 offenders over to the borderguard Department of Cha Lo border gate to continue investigation.

This is the largest amount of fireworks detected and seized in 2016 by the forces of Customs and Border guard of Cha Lo border gate which was also great victory in the fight against smuggling and trade fraud in the occasion of before, during and after the Lunar New Year of 2017 DinhDau.
