According to Quang Ninh Customs Department, at 7.30 am on 8th May, 2017 at 1 Van Don Street, Tran Phu Ward, Mong Cai City, 480 smuggled packets of 555 ORIGINAL cigarettes (20 cigarettes/pack) were detected and seized by Mobile Enforcement Team under the Customs Enforcement Unit No.1. These cigarettes are not identified owners.

Previously, on 6th May, at the Concrete Mixing Station in 3B Village, Hai Tien Commune, Mong Cai City, the Integrated Control Station Km15 of Dan Tien Pier, Customs detected and seized 432 violent toy plastic guns (plastic shot) with size 18cmx10cm / gun.

According to the competent forces, the smugglers used the motorbike without a licence plate to transport smuggled goods.

In the first quarter of 2017, Mong Cai Police issued a criminal prosecution decision for 3 cases of transporting 47,500 packs of smuggled cigarettes. In particular, this authority prosecuted 1 criminal case and two perpetrators transporting 2,500 cigarette packets.
