Two administrative procedures in the field of inland waterways are not implemented via NSW

Accordingly, on 6th April 2018, Ministry of Transport issued Official letter No. 3506/BGTVT-VP sending to the Standing Office of the Steering Committee 389 (under the General Department of Vietnam Customs) on the supplementation and re-registration of the list of administrative procedures implemented via ASEAN Single Window and National Single Window, of which 6 administrative procedures in the field of inland waterways.
However, after reviewing procedures to reduce and simplify business conditions in accordance with the direction by the Government, the Ministry of Transport has proposed not to implement 2 administrative procedures in the field of inland waterways via National Single Window.
Specifically, the procedure for extending the time that Cambodia’s water transport means are permitted to stay in Vietnam’s territory. Because after 5 years of the implementation, there have no Cambodian water transport means carrying out procedures to extend the time of staying in Vietnam’s territory.

The procedure for the approval for high-speed ships transporting passengers, luggage on fixed routes across the border. Because the Ministry of Transport approved the plan to reduce and simplify regulations on the business conditions in the transport field in Decision No. 767/QD-BGTVT dated 17th April 2018, including the reduction of this procedure when developing the Decree to replace the Government’s Decree No. 110/201/ND-CP dated 20th November stipulating the business conditions for inland waterway transport.
