VCN – More than 160,000 face masks, which were transported on trucks for illegal export to Cambodia, were seized by Tinh Bien Customs Branch (An Giang Customs Department) on March 8.

According to Tinh Bien Customs Branch, on the evening of March 8, at the Integrated Control Station of Tinh Bien International Border Gate, the unit seized a case of illegal face masks being exported to Cambodia.

When implementing customs procedures for trucks on exit, customs official discovered signs of suspicion, so they coordinated with Tinh Bien International Border Post to conduct an inspection. As a result, officers found 66 boxes containing 164,600 face masks.

Currently, Tinh Bien Customs Branch is taking testimony of the suspects to compile a handling dossier.

All the shipment was sealed and waited for handling

Earlier, on March 3, Tinh Bien Customs Branch also discovered and prevented two cases of illegal export of 20,000 masks to Cambodia.
