Transporting 24,000 tablets of synthetic drugs from Laos to Vietnam

At 2 pm on December 5, 2016, in Na U Hamlet, Na U Commune, Dien Bien District, the Anti-drug Enforcement Team collaborated with the Tay Trang Border Gate Customs Branch and the Anti-drug Enforcement Division (Dien Bien Border Defence Force) to patrol and detect Giang Thi Dua, born in 1961 (residing in Tin Lan Hamlet, Nua Ngam Commune, Dien Bien District) walking from Laos to Vietnam with suspicious signs.

Through inspecting on site, Giang Thi Dua submitted to the Work Team, 4 rectangular packages (size 18cm x 13 cm x 5cm) which contained 120 blue plastic bags, each bag had 200 pink tablets with WY symbol (suspected as synthetic drugs).

Through the initial testimony, Giang Thi Dua declared that the tablets were synthetic drugs which were being transported for consumption in Vietnam.

Currently, the dossier and perpetrator and the drugs were transferred to the competent authority to continue to treat as per provision.
