The first customs branch reaching VND 20,000 billion in revenue collection at Hai Phong Customs

On December 3rd, through discussions with reporters, manager of Hai Phong port area 1 Customs Branch (Hai Phong Customs Department) Truong Binh An said that by the end of November 30, State revenue of the unit reached nearly VND 21,618 billion, exceeding 0.55 percent over the amending target of 2019 ( VND 21,500 billion under Decision 2456/QĐ-HQHP dated October 31,2019 of Hai Phong Customs Department).
Notably, up to now, Hai Phong port area 1 Customs Branch has been the first branch among nine branches under the Hai Phong Customs Department recording VND 20,000 billion or more in revenue collection. This helps the branch continue to be the biggest contributor to Hai Phong Customs Department in 2019.
The revenue results in the first 11 months of 2019 of the Customs Branch also exceeded nearly VND 6,400 billion compared to the whole of 2018.
The most important reason is that Hai Phong port area 1 Customs Branch completed soon the task and set a record of revenue collection from imported complete built up (CBU) automobiles.
In the first 11 months of the year, imported CBU cars alone contributed VND 13,411.54 billion, accounting for 62 percent of the revenue of the whole department.
Hai Phong port area 1 Customs Branch was also the unit with the largest number of imported CBU cars carrying out procedures at Hai Phong port area.
Beside the objective reason of the import turnover of goods, especially in CBU automobiles, the solution from the reform and facilitation for the import and export activities of the Customs Branch also contributed to this success.
Especially, from the beginning of the year until now, Hai Phong port area 1 Customs Branch has diversified and improved the efficiency of business dialogue.
Besides answering specific situations, which often arise in the process of completing procedures, the Customs Branch also organises dialogues to acknowledge many contributions of the business community.
Most recently, at the end of October, the Customs Branch held the Business Promotion Conference 2019.
The conference attracted representatives of 22 enterprises and 26 customs brokers regularly implementing import and export procedures in the area managed by the branch.
Leader of Customs Branch said that theconference aimed to contribute to improving the professionalism of the Customs authority, the business community and customs brokers, evaluating the results of implementing partnership development agreements between Customs - enterprises.
