Thanh Hoa Customs collects over VND 10,000 billion

VCN - As of August 15, 2023, Thanh Hoa Customs Department collected VND 10,653 billion, equaling 85% of the same period in 2022 and achieving 79% of the assigned target.

State budget revenue at Thanh Hoa Customs Department mainly comes from imports of VND 8,751.03 billion, accounting for 98.2% of total state budget revenue. Revenue from imported crude oil reached VND8,599.69 billion, accounting for 81.1% of the unit's total revenue.

Revenue from other imports reached VND 1,718.77 billion, accounting for 17% of total revenue. The above-mentioned revenues are mainly from imported raw materials and auxiliary materials for production of investment projects in Nghi Son Economic Zone such as iron and steel scrap, coal, refining and petrochemical auxiliary materials (chemicals, catalysts, etc.), machinery and equipment, spare parts, refined palm oil, etc.

Revenue from export tax reached VND 161.42 billion, accounting for 1.8% of total revenue. This revenue was generally stable, without major fluctuations.

It is expected that by the end of August 2023, the department will collect VND 10,819.26 billion, equaling 79% of the same period in 2022 and reaching 80.1% of the target.

In the rest of the year, Thanh Hoa Customs Department continues to promote solutions to increase revenue, promote administrative reform, enhance information technology application, and create the highest favorable conditions for import and export activities of enterprises, which is one of the central tasks of the unit, striving to always be in the leading group on the The District and Department Competitiveness Index. (DDCI) and ensuring maximum favorable conditions for import and export activities.

At the same time, the department will focus on solutions to strengthen coordination between departments, agencies, sectors and business associations to encourage shipping lines, enterprises to carry out import-export activities through Nghi Son port; strengthen the collection of information, identify signs of risks to take measures to inspect, supervise and control imported and exported goods; perform value checks on goods and businesses with high risk in terms of value and tax rates.
