Thai Nguyen Customs solves problems for businesses

VCN - More than 60 enterprises dealing with import-export, and logistics activities in Thai Nguyen province attended the first Business Dialogue Conference in 2023 held by Thai Nguyen Customs Branch (Bac Ninh Customs Department) on the afternoon of June 15th.

According to Director of Thai Nguyen Customs Branch Nguyen Dang Chinh, about 300 enterprises are participating in regular import and export activities in the area. Most are processing, manufacturing and exporting businesses with large scale and many workers.

The business type in the province involves many different regulations, mechanisms and policies. Therefore, the branch has always paid great attention to and implemented the law dissemination. The organization of a dialogue conference is a specific and practical activity to support and accompany the business community.

To May 15, 2023, Thai Nguyen Customs Branch processed 64,932 declarations, with a total import-export turnover of US$15.66 billion, contributing to the State budget VND953 billion.

The Business Dialogue Conference in 2023 provides full legal information, especially newly issued documents and promptly answers questions of the business community. Especially in the current period, the business community is facing many difficulties such as rising prices of raw materials, supplies, freight, logistics costs, increasing production costs and increasing inflationary pressure, reducing orders, reducing working hours, and potential risks to production and business.

“Given the spirit of solidarity, creativity, joint effort and consensus and the motto that the success of the business is also the success of Thai Nguyen province, all difficulties of enterprises are shared and solved. Thai Nguyen Customs Branch is committed to always accompanying and supporting investors and businesses, creating all the most favorable conditions for the business community for effective investment, production and business," said Director of the Department Nguyen Dang Chinh.

In addition, the leader of Thai Nguyen Customs Branch directly answered some questions such as: Kein Hing Thai Nguyen Co., Ltd. proposed to be guided on customs procedures for selling liquidated assets of an export processing enterprise to another export processing enterprise. Myungjin Electronic Vina Co., Ltd. asked about tax refund procedures for imported goods when the original C/O has been submitted; Jung Jin Electronic Vietnam Co., Ltd. asked about the declaration of the origin of goods.

At the conference, the representative of the Professional Affairs Division (Bac Ninh Customs Department) introduced to the business community new mechanisms, policies and laws in the field of customs, import and export, especially new points related to the origin of goods in Circular 33/2023/TT-BTC, just issued by the Ministry of Finance.

Speaking at the conference, on behalf of the business community in the province, Mr. Nguyen Van Thoi, Chairman of TNG Investment and Trading Joint Stock Company, and Chairman of Thai Nguyen Business Association shared, customs procedures are now processed online 24/7, so businesses have many advantages, the customs clearance takes place quickly and problems are solved quickly by Thai Nguyen Customs Branch.

In addition, from the benefits of authorized economic operators in the customs field that TNG Investment and Trading Joint Stock Company is enjoying, Mr. Nguyen Van Thoi proposed the General Department of Customs consider loosening the conditions to have more businesses recognized as authorized economic operators. Moreover, Mr. Thoi shared that the business community in the province should comply with the law to be recognized by the Customs and enjoy the benefits of the Authorized Economic Operator Program.
