Tay Ninh Customs: Prosecute the case of illegal transport more than $US 22,000

The amount of foreign currency was seized by Moc Bai Customs Branch

Earlier, on 3/12, at the channel of entry vehicle and border residents of Integrated Station of Moc Bai International Border gate, Moc Bai Customs Branch coordinated with Border Post to inspect and discover inside luggage of Ms. Sao LAYSIM (was born in 1983, Cambodia nationality) containing $US 22,080 on cash without declaration when doing entry procedure.

The above foreign currency was divided into three nylon bags, mixed with personal belongings and hidden inside the luggage.

After taking the initial testimony of Ms. LAYSIM, Moc Bai Customs Branch has made a record of arresting the violator, issued a decision to prosecute the case and forwarded the case to the police investigation agency – Tay Ninh province Police in order to continue the investigation and handle in accordance with regulations.
