Tinh Bien Customs seizes a large volume of unknown origin goods

VCN – The working group of forces for Anti-smuggling, trade fraud and counterfeit goods of Tinh Bien town detected a large volume of infringing goods during inspecting a truck moving in Tinh Bien border area.

Tinh Bien Customs seizes a large volume of unknown origin goods

Anti-smuggling force inspects infringing goods on the truck.

The working group of forces for Anti-smuggling, trade fraud and counterfeit goods of Tinh Bien town inspected a truck with license plate No.67C-111.26 operated by driver Duong Van Phuong (born in 1975, residing in Binh Thanh Trung commune, Lap Vo district, Dong Thap province) for showing suspicious signs.

Infringing goods worth over VND720 million.

The through the inspection, the working group detected 20,600 unknown origin clothing products, 1,290 bottles of glue (200 grams/bottle) and 760 pots with glass lids, foreign origin.... Total value of infringing goods is about VND720 million.

The driver Duong Van Phuong did not present invoices or documents proving the origin of the goods. The working group made report and sized the truck and the infringing goods.

Currently, the case has been assigned to Tinh Bien Police for further investigation.
