VCN- The General Department of Vietnam Customs has recently demanded districts, and cities Customs departments to strengthen audit of the transport of cattle, poultry and livestock across the border.

Accordingly, all units must increase supervision of imported cattle, and poultry at border checkpoints, guaranteeing Customs transaction processes and management of policy for imported cattle, and poultry, and firmly forbid products that have un-known origin, or lack quality assurance from coming into the country.

All units need to plan regular patrols, collect information and be aware of the trails, crossings, rivers and other areas suitable for illegally transporting cattle, and poultry.

According to Customs News, recently, the situation of trafficking,and transporting livestock and poultry has become more complicated.

The Customs Departments of Quang Ninh,and Lang Son have detected and arrested thousands of livestock, and tons of illegally imported poultry.
