According to National Steering Committee 389, smuggling and trade fraud continues to be a problem. However, the detection and handling of violations has not brought about enough results.
To strengthen anti-smuggling activities in the future, Steering Committee 389 has requested provincial and municipal Steering Committee 389 and competent forces to enhance the prevention and fight against smuggling, trade fraud and counterfeit goods to promptly prevent violations.
The Vietnam Market Directorate of Market Surveillance has directed provincial and municipal Market Surveillance departments to strengthen the prevention of smuggling and trade fraud in the domestic market and prevent long-term violations, and the establishment of gangs and sites gathering smuggled goods, counterfeit goods and fraud of labeling and origin of Vietnam.
At the same time, coordinate with the Standing Office of the National Steering Committee 389 to consider the responsibilities of the Market Surveillance Agency and relevant units (if any) in case of raising violations.
