Therefore, Dong Nai Customs Department reached 86.4% of the assigned target in 2017 (15,200 billion VND) and 76% of the target in 2017 (16,800 billion VND).
For tax debt, until 15th October 2017, the amount of overdue tax debt in Dong Nai Customs was 20.6 billion VND accounting for 0.16% of total revenue. This was enforced overdue tax debt of businesses which their owners disappeared, missed, not operate at business registration address, stopped or suspended business operation and newly arising overdue tax debt.
According to Mr. Le Van Danh, Director of Dong Nai Customs Department, in the past times, the Department applied many measures to fulfill the assigned revenue target, in which reviewing the list of businesses with high revenues and contacting and supporting businesses in carrying out Customs declaration. The Department also focused on reviewing and actively applied measures to recover tax debts. Especially, it focused on collecting tax debts of businesses with a high amount and not to arise new tax debts.

In addition, Dong Nai Customs Department also reviewed import goods meeting conditions to be applied incentive tax rate and special preferential tax rate. At the same time, promoting post-clearance audit on declared value for commodities under the list of imported and exported risking on value; enhancing the review of data on Customs value and assigning more Customs officers in charging of examining on tax calculation value at Department level.
Besides, the Department also strengthened the examination on tax exemption, tax reduction, tax refund and not collecting tax at Customs Branches where had a large amount of imported and export goods.
