Accordingly, after Bac Luan Bridge I border gate is reopened, the Chinese side will continue to implement the appointment mechanism for customs clearance for people entering the country. That is, those who want to enter Dong Hung border gate must uniformly use the "QR code for pre-arrival appointment with Guangxi health code" to register for an online appointment. In addition to bringing a pre-arrival appointment notice of entry, people must have a negative Covid-19 test certificate by RT-PCR method, within 48 hours by Covid-19 testing facilities in Vietnam, designated by the Chinese Embassy.

After a successful appointment, the Chinese side will daily notify the Mong Cai side in advance of the list of people entering the country by pre-arrival appointment.

This restoration of customs clearance through Bac Luan Bridge I will follow the principle: stage division and limit the number of entry people by pre-arrival appointment.

The number of people entering the country by appointment is currently 30 people/day, and this figure will be revised depending on the capacity of isolation, health monitoring and entry needs.

To help Chinese citizens comply with the regulations of the Chinese side when carrying out immigration procedures through Bac Luan Bridge I, the People's Committee of Mong Cai City has requested the Mong Cai International Border Gate Border Guard Station to work with Mong Cai Border Gate Customs Branch, Health Quarantine Station, Health Department, Mong Cai International Border Gate Management Board, etc. to guide and control entry and exit procedures and regulations on Covid-19 testing, prevention and control, signed by the two sides.

After Bac Luan Bridge reopens, there have been no Chinese citizens entering or leaving via the bridge, said a representative of Mong Cai border gate Customs Branch on June 1.

Previously, on April 25, the People's Committee of Mong Cai City announced the restoration of import and export activities at Bac Luan Border Gate II, Mong Cai City, Quang Ninh.

According to the People's Committee of Mong Cai City, the customs clearance of goods at Bac Luan border gate II has reopened in four stages, including dealing with cargo congestion in the surveillance area; returning empty vehicles parked in yards of China and Vietnam; restoring clearance for non-cold chain goods; and conducting customs clearance. The applicable time starts from 8:00am on April 26, 2022.
