Quang Tri: Import and Export turnover declines by 41.6%

As of the end of May 5, Quang Tri Customs processed procedures for 4,962 declarations, decreasing by 16%. The total import and export turnover reached more than US$155 million, declining by 41.6% compared to the same period in 2019.
Of which, there were 2,320 import declarations, import turnover reached US$85.8 million, and 2,642 export declarations, export turnover reached US$69.2 million.
Imported and exported goods across the province are mainly woodchips, exported minerals and wood, lead, natural rubber and plaster. These are the major commodities that contributed to the Quang Tri Customs’ revenue.
For example, at Lao Bao International Border Gate, from April 22, Lao Bao Customs Branch has processed 523 declarations with a total turnover of US$19.36 million.
Taxable import and export goods across Lao Bao Border Gate are mainly wood, beverage, electronic products, imported live cattle and exported woodchips.
