Quang Ninh: Do not let the establishment of smuggling hot spots happen at the end of the year

It was one of the contents directed by the Steering Committee 389 Quang Ninh, based on the report of self-examination and inspection result at the sector members of Steering Committee 389 Quang Ninh, provincial Steering Committees 389 in the first nine months of 2018.

Accordingly, in order to fulfill the work well for fighting against smuggling, trade frauds and counterfeit goods in the last months of 2018, the Steering Committee 389 Quang Ninh suggested departments and branches to focus on implementing drastic and synchronous solutions in order to increase revenue and prevent loss of state budget.

In the spirit of support, accompanied with enterprises, the departments and sector members of the Steering Committee 389 Quang Ninh, provincial Steering Committee 389, directed the relevant competent forces to control activities at the border and seaports well, by speeding up the reform of administrative procedures, improving the business investment environment, contributing to clear a process for export-import procedures, reducing expenses for enterprises, but also at the same time, ensuring the requirement in the work of management.

The branches and competent forces should intensify the work of gathering information, grasp the situation of the areas, inspect and closely control the border areas, the two border side gates, the trails, the openings, the warehouses, illegal gathering of goods in the markets, trade centers ... to promptly detect, arrest and strictly handle violations.

At the same time, to develop and implement measures to fight smuggling, trade fraud and the production, sale and transportation of fake goods, banned goods in the late months of 2018, and in the Lunar New Year Festival 2019. In that, focusing on key commodities such as: drugs, firecrackers, sky lanterns, weapons, support tools, mobile phones, cigarettes, foreign wines, cattle, poultry, seafood, animal and wildlife products, clothing, foods, etc,…. deploying drastic solutions in order to prevent African swine fever infecting the Quang Ninh area.

In addition, strengthening information exchange and documents on the situation of law violation, the new methods and tricks of the violators; To concentrate on controlling the area well, resolutely not allowing the formation of hot spots for smuggling or illegal transportation of goods; minimizing the seizures for the central competent forces, and handle cases occurring in the province.

The Steering Committee 389 Quang Ninh also strengthened the work of inspection and examination of public affairs in order to promptly detect, correct and strictly handle the officials and soldiers who lack a sense of responsibility and show signs of tolerance and protection, working hand-in-hand with smugglers for transporting goods illegally through the locality; transferring, proposing to transfer or replacing the heads of units who fail to meet the requirements of tasks and let the situation of smuggling, trade frauds and fake goods happen in a serious and prolonged manner in fields or areas they are responsible for and in charge of.
