Prosecute smuggling case of 8 kg gold and 100 million Riel crossed Tinh Bien border

On the same day, the Tinh Bien Border Gate Customs Branch and the authorities in Tinh Bien District handed over the documents, subjects and exhibits to the Investigation Police - An Giang Police for investigation in accordance to their competence.

As Customs Newspaper reported, on 11th March 2017, Tinh Bien Customs Branch has discovered and arrested Vuoch Hea who is Cambodian and born in 1957 while transporting 100 million Riel and 8kg gold through the border gate without declaration.

Ms. Vuoch Hea confessed that the above money came from purchasing groceries across the border. However, the amount of gold was bought in Nam Vang - Cambodia market and brought to Tinh Bien in order to earn profit.

Tinh Bien Customs Branch has appraised the above evidence that it’s real gold, real money, with total value of about 7.6 billion vnd.
