Nghe An Customs coordinates to seize 1.6 hundredweight of firecrackers

VCN - Talking to reporters of Customs News, representatives of Nghe An Customs Department said the Customs Enforcement Team has worked with the police force to detect and arrest subjects who were illegally transporting and trading 160 kg of firecrackers.

At 9:30 PM on November 9, at Trung Tien hamlet, Nghi Quang commune, Nghi Loc district, Nghe An province, the Customs Enforcement Team worked with Nghi Loc district police and Cua Lo - Ben Thuy Border Post to arrest Nguyen Van Doan (born in 1981, residing in block 3, Nghi Tan ward, Cua Lo town, Nghe An province) for trading prohibited goods.

At the scene, competent forces seized two cardboard boxes inside containing 30 boxes of foreign-made fireworks (type 36 rounds) with a weight of 42kg and a motorcycle.

After searching the subject's residence, competent forces seized more than 119 kg of firecrackers of all kinds. The total weight of firecrackers was 161 kg.

The forces continue to investigate and complete the case file.
