More than 13 million declarations carry out on e-customs procedures

Carrying out the Minister of Finance’s plan in 2019, the General Department of Customs upgraded two online public services from level 1 to level 4.

This brought the total online public services at level 3 and 4 to 172 among 193 administrative procedures (amounting to 89 percent). Of which, there were 163 online public services at level 4. Key administrative procedures such as clearance, collection of import and export duties, fees and charges and returning the results were handled online.

In 2019, the Customs received and handled 13.24 million of 13.33 million e-customs declarations (accounting for 99.34 percent); the turnover was as much as 99.94 percent.

Collected taxes and fees by electronic methods accounted for 96.8 percent of the General Department’s revenue

The General Department of Customs worked with concerned parties to prepare to integrate some online public service of Customs into the National Portal.

In addition, to carry out the plan to develop and operate e-portal of the Customs sector for 2016 – 2020, from October 10, 2019, the General Department has launched a new version of the e-portal of the General Department of Customs and deployed e-portals for four customs departments: Dien Bien, Cao Bang, Ha Nam Ninh and Khanh Hoa.
