This information was provided by the leader of the Import-Export Duty Department to reporters at the press conference held by the GDVC on 30 November 2017.

In addition to, answering the question on only 5 banks joining the online tax payment 24/7, Mr. Luu Manh Tuong said that the GDVC selected 5 banks which are Vietcombank, Vietinbank, BIDV, MB and Techcombank for the first pilot implementation. Now, 70% of total Customs revenue is collected via these 5 banks.

In this first implementation, the GDVC wanted to selected banks which are coordination banks as well as banks authorized by the State Treasury on collecting state budget, and banks in which State Treasury’s accounts are opened in order to circle the money flow from enterprises - Customs – the banks - State Treasury - Customs.

In December 2017, the GDVC will expand more 6 banks to collect tax via online tax payment 24/7: Sacombank, Mizuho Bank LTD, SCB, VPBank, HD Bank, LienvietpostBank. Then, the GDVC will further expand the online tax payment 24/7 project with other banks which have been signed the coordination agreements on collections with the GDVC and meet requirements and conditions of the online tax payment 24/7 project on upgrading the IT portal.
