Lao Cai International Border Gate Customs participates in building Smart Customs model

Seven processes assigned to Lao Cai Customs Branch are included, namely Customs duty policy management (exemption, reduction, refund, non-collection, handling of overpaid tax); management and supervision process of CFS warehouse - imports; management and the supervision process of CFS warehouse - exports; management and supervision process in bonded warehouses - imports; management and supervision process in bonded warehouses - exports; the process of goods management of border residents; process of goods classification and applying tariff rates.

To complete the task and contribute to the development and deployment of smart customs model, Lao Cai Customs Branch requested all customs officers and employees to participate in reviewing customs procedures and improving professional problems to ensure compliance with the law and the guidance of the General Department of Vietnam Customs.

Officers and employees of Customs Branch must also focus on studying documents and giving comments; provide situations arising in reality and forecast situations arising in the future for inputting to the customs system to handle automatically.

Lao Cai International Border Gate Customs Branch asked customs officers participating in the review and completion of the process to strengthen their responsibility in tasks performance, coordinate and discuss with the focal points of local customs departments and departments under the General Department of Vietnam Customs.

Besides that, Lao Cai Customs Department was assigned to help develop two procedures including: the management and supervision of imported goods and means of transport on entry by rail; management and supervision of exported goods and means of transport on exit by rail.
