Lao Cai builds smart border gates at Kim Thanh and Ban Vuoc border gates

VCN - The People's Committee of Lao Cai province issued a plan to develop a pilot project to build a smart border gate at international road border gate No. II (Kim Thanh) and Ban Vuoc commune, Bat Xat district.

According to the Plan, from June 2024 to December 2024, Lao Cai Border Gate Economic Zone Authority is assigned to advise and implement the following contents:

Establishment of a working group to run a pilot program of smart border gates at international land border gate No. II (Kim Thanh) and Ban Vuoc commune, Bat Xat district.

Organizing a discussion between the Lao Cai Economic Zone Authority (Vietnam) and the Border Gate Authority of Ha Khau district (China) on pilot implementation of building smart border gate construction at Kim Thanh international border gate pair of Bac Son (China) and Ban Vuoc (Vietnam) - Pa Sa (China).

Organizing a discussion between the People's Committee of Lao Cai province (Vietnam) and the People's Government of Honghe province, Yunnan province (China) on signing the "Framework Agreement on jointly promoting the pilot construction of smart border gates".

Accordingly, the first meeting will be held to discuss the need to reach a common understanding of signing the "Framework Agreement on jointly promoting the pilot construction of smart border gates" between the People's Committee of Lao Cai province (Vietnam) and the People's Government of Honghe Province, Yunnan Province (China); formulating a "Framework agreement on jointly promoting the pilot construction of smart border gates"; organizing second meeting on signing the "Framework Agreement on jointly promoting the pilot construction of smart border gates".

It is expected that in December 2024, the People's Committee of Lao Cai province will report to the Government to approve the policy allowing the construction of a pilot project to build a smart border gate at international road border gate No. II (Kim Thanh) and Ban Vuoc commune, Bat Xat district.
