Lang Son seizing 2.5 tons of smuggled Chinese herbs ingredients

VCN – According to Anti-smuggling and Investigation Department (General Department of Vietnam Customs), the unit has coordinated with Chi Ma Customs Branch (Lang Son Customs Department), Chi Ma border post, Steering Committee 389 of Lang Son in order to seize 2.5 tons of Chinese herbs ingredients.

At 3:30 AM, on 4/8, in the Hin Khao area, Chi Ma village, Yen Khoai commune, Loc Binh district, Lang Son province, the working group discovered a person while was transporting Chinese herbs ingredients which were gathered at the empty house (uninhabited).

Through inspection, the working group identified the above commodities were Chinese herbal ingredients with 50 bags of weighting 2,505 kg.

Currently, the case has been handed over to Chi Ma Customs Branch for investigation, determining type and value of the above goods as well as handling the cases in accordance with regulations.
