Lang Son: Implementing scanning for all shipments of import – export declaration
For imported goods, the unit will conduct inspection via scanning machines before loading goods to means of transport of Vietnam, while for exported goods, the unit will conduct inspection for goods at Xuan Cuong yard before transferring to means of transport of China.

According to Vy Cong Tuong, Deputy Director Lang Son Customs Department, implementing the opinion of the Risk Management Department - General Department of Vietnam Customs on scanning for consignments carrying out procedures through Huu Nghi border gate, Lang Son Customs asked Huu Nghi Customs Branch to work with the Customs Enforcement Team and border-gate forces (the Border Management Authority, Border Defence force) and Xuan Cuong Co., Ltd. to propose a plan to arrange a scanning position suitable with the requirements of conducting scanning; ensuring strict management of import-export goods, classify channel scientifically, avoiding causing congestion and facilitating import-export activities.
At the same time, evaluate the impact of problems arising when performing scanning; collecting information, evaluating and transferring information on items and groups of items not subject to scanning to analyse, develop risk profiles and apply appropriate risk control measures.
According to Lang Son Customs Department, every day at Huu Nghi international border gate, the Customs force receives about 100 sets of declarations from enterprises registering to implement import and export procedures.
