Lang Son Customs Department focuses on trade facilitation

VCN- Until the end of the third quarter 2017, Lang Son Customs Department received and processed 2,329 dossiers of administrative procedures for people and businesses via online public service system. Implementing the Government’s Resolution 19/2017/NQ-CP dated February 6, 2017 on key tasks and measures for improving business environment and enhancing national competitiveness in 2017 and orientation towards 20120, Lang Son Customs Department reported and registered to General Department of Vietnam Customs, Provincial Party Committee and People's Council- People's Committee on 10 key tasks and measures to perform work in 2017.

Focusing on reforming administrative procedure and facilitating import and export operation of businesses; Focusing on solutions to improve the business environment and enhance competitiveness and remove difficulties in a timely fashion for businesses.

Accordingly, until the end of the third quarter, 2017, 2,270 businesses were carried out Customs procedures via VNACCS/VCIS and 2,329 administrative procedure dossiers were also received and processed via online public service system by Lang Son Customs Department.

The units under the Department carried out 86,516 dossiers with total import and exported turnover of 3,569 US$ million (an increase of 33.2% compared to the same period in 2016), of which US $ 2,092 million of export turnover, an increase of 37.7%, US $ 1,476 million of import turnover, an increase of 24.8%. In addition, the entire Department collected and contributed 2,584 billion VND to State budget, reaching 63.3% of assigned target in 2017.

In order to implement solutions removing difficulties and obstacles for businesses, Lang Son Customs Department held Business Dialogue Conference and signed memorandum of understanding Customs-Business in 2017; Summarizing full proposals and obstacles of businesses to promptly report to competent agencies to consider and handle in accordance with regulations; Signing Agreement on revenue collection among State Treasury of Lang Son province, Customs Department and Military Commercial Joint Stock Bank of Lang Son Branch; Collaborating with Lang Son Television to make news, reportage and remove obstacles related to Customs procedures.

Especially, the border gates and headquarters of units under Lang Son Customs Department also are publicized mailboxes and hotlines for receiving and handling complaints from individuals and organizations; Arranging officers to promptly guide and remove difficulties for businesses; Propagandizing via website of the Department and handling work under Single Window mechanism, applying quality management system under standard ISO 9001:2008; Actively and positively exchanging information with relevant competent agencies at border gates in State management on Customs and promptly proposing to higher levels and competent agencies to negotiate and exchange with the Chinese Government to solve the congestion for import and export goods in the season such as extension of the open time at border gates and classification of goods channels.
