Import of plant-origin goods: enterprise is responsible for declared contents

Previously, Quang Ninh Customs Department and Linh Anh Trading One Member Company Limited reflected on problems on the import policy for items including dried cinnamon bark, dried anise flowers and dried basil root as raw materials for incense production of export, not for pharmaceutical processing and medicine production.
Guiding this issue, the General Department of Customs agreed with the proposal of Quang Ninh Customs Department. Accordingly, Quang Ninh Customs Department based on the enterprise's declared information and relevant guiding documents to handle customs procedures for items including dried cinnamon bark, dried anise flowers and dried basil root of Linh Anh Trading One Member Company Limited in accordance with regulations.

The company is responsible under the law for the authenticity of the declared contents and submitted documents; the consistency of information in records saved at the company and records saved at the customs agency. If Quang Ninh Customs Department detects that the company is using imported goods for the wrong purpose, post-customs clearance inspection shall be carried out in accordance with regulations.
