Implement procedure for waterway vessels between Vietnam – Cambodia via NSW

General Department of Vietnam Customs – Permanent Office of Steering Committee on ASEAN Single Window (ASW), NSW and trade facilitation has informed to shipping lines and shipping agents.

Accordingly, from 9:00 AM on 8/11/2018, NSW would be expanded with two new procedures including: Procedures for inland waterway vessel of Vietnam - Cambodia entry (entry the country) inland water port; Procedures for inland waterway vessels of Vietnam and Cambodia exit (exit the country) inland waterway ports.

The inland water ports which would be implementing procedures include: Hoang Tuan port, Bourbon port, Thanh Tai port, MT Gas port (Long An); Chau Doc Passenger Port (An Giang); Long Binh port (HCMC).

All shipping lines, shipping agents, forwarders will declare the above procedures, including e-Manifest through the National Single Window Portal (https://vnnsw.gov.vn).

Exchanging information with Customs News reporter, leaders of the Division of Management and Operations NSW (Customs IT and Statistics Department, General Department of Vietnam Customs), there are 128 procedures that have been connected to NSW. The largest number of procedures newly connected to NSW belongs to the Ministry of Transport with 60 procedures since 01/11/2018.

"With the two procedures that are going to connect to NSW, the number of procedures will be increased to 130, while many ministries and sectors are also actively working on connection-oriented projects," leaders of the Division of Management and Operations NSW said.

In line with the NSW Action Plan, the ASEAN Single Window (ASW), the reform of specialized inspection of import – export goods and trade facilitation in the period 2018-2020 (issued in Decision 1254/QĐ-TTg dated 26/9/2018), the ministries and sectors must connect 138 procedures to NSW at this stage.

The Ministry of Transportation holds the most number of procedures with 65 procedures. The second highest number of connected procedures is the Ministry of Health with 23 procedures; other positions may include: Ministry of Natural Resources and Environment (12 procedures); Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development (10 procedures) ...
